Mandatory Guidelines for Video Capture During PUC Testing

Mandatory Guidelines for Video Capture During PUC Testing

To ensure transparency, authenticity, and successful issuance of the Pollution Under Control Certificate (PUCC), all PUC Centres are required to strictly adhere to the following guidelines during the testing process:

1. Display of Centre Information

The PUC Centre shall prominently display the following information at the testing location in a clearly visible manner:

  • a. PUC Centre Name
  • b. PUC Centre Code

2. Mandatory Requirements for Video Recording

The video captured during the PUC testing process must clearly record and display the following:

  • a. PUC Centre Name and Centre Code displayed at the testing premises.
  • b. Vehicle Registration Number of the vehicle undergoing the emission test.
  • c. Proper insertion of the emission testing probe into the vehicle's exhaust pipe throughout the testing process.
  • d. A clear view of the complete testing area, including the PUC Centre premises and its surroundings/background.
  • e. A full view of the vehicle, with the PUC Centre and its displayed identification visible in the background.

3. Non-Compliance

Failure to comply with any of the above requirements, or submission of a video that does not clearly capture the mandatory details, may result in rejection of the video recording. In such cases, the PUC testing process may be required to be re-initiated from the beginning, and a fresh video recording shall be captured in accordance with the prescribed guidelines.

All PUC Centres are advised to ensure strict adherence to these instructions to avoid rejection of the PUC test process and inconvenience to vehicle owners.
